General description of the collection: The 79th Division papers consist of a brochure published after World War I explaining the adoption of the Lorraine Cross as the 79th Division's emblem and giving the history of the Lorraine Cross. The brochure was written from information supplied by E. F. Henri Viard and was published by the 79th Division from a contribution of money by Major T. Christian Henry, Inspector for the 79th Division during its war operations.
